Abstract:
Considered as one of the most iconic post-war buildings in Lebanon, Burj El Murr rises to the sky of Beirut stirring the memory of the city-residents and the Lebanese population. This relic piece of architecture does not only signify an act of remembrance of war, but also an involuntary presence in a complex urban environment. The project is a metamorphosis of Burj El Murr; an unequivocal Renaissance of the bitter tower. An architectural narrative storyline will assist your body and soul in a journey to evoke some unpredictable sensations. You will endure feelings of anxiety, dread and confusion before reaching the awaiting light at the end of the tunnel.
Hang on… and enjoy the ride!
