Abstract:
This report aims to provide a comprehensive explanation on my master project for fulfilling my academic responsibilities. The project is called Lebanon Post (Lebanonpost.online) which is a digital news media outlet that has its own website, officially registered in the Lebanese National Media Council, which also runs on various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, WhatsApp and YouTube. The aim of the project is to provide an objective news outlet to the Lebanese people that covers all forms of news from weather, economics, and health to local and international news. However, the project aims to be innovative in the sense that it is not only a news outlet that simply portrays news, but also provides direct insights from the ground through reports, interviews, and live coverages of various events and ongoing issues in Lebanon. Many challenges emerged in the process of this project that this report elaborates on and they include financial, logistically, technical, and human resources issues. However, many solutions have been provided to each problem which allowed for a strong implementation of the projects objectives. Consequently, Lebanon Post manifests the theoretical and practical knowledge I have gained throughout my years in the university which this report addresses fully.
