dc.description.abstract | Co6Al2, Co4Mg2Al2, Co2Mg4Al2, and Mg6Al2 hydrotalcites are prepared through the co precipitation method and then impregnated with different Ru and Cu loadings. Catalytic activity of the prepared catalysts was tested for the steam reforming of ethanol. Results showed that as Co content is increasing in the support, H2 productivity and ethanol conversion are increasing. The catalytic activity of those supports gained an importance upon their impregnation with Ru and Cu. Loading Co6Al2 with 5% Cu has led to a total conversion of ethanol accompanied with the highest H2 productivity at 4500C. On the other hand, formation of coke following the aging test over 5Cu/Co6Al2 remained the major challenge. | en_US |
