Oxygen, which is the most essential factor in every human beings life, must be always present in a sufficient level. Once this level decreases, this could be an indication of some certain disease. Pulse oximeters have solved this issue by being a device that can continuously and non-invasively measure oxygen saturation in our body. It has been considered the greatest invention in patient monitoring. From many years ago until nowadays, pulse oximeters have developed and have become very modern based on new models and technologies. The design discussed in this report is a SpO2 which is based on designing a transmission and receiving circuit on the NI Elvis board. In addition labview has been used to display the output signal and to calculate the oxygen saturation and pulse rate.en_US
