dc.description.abstractLebanon is caught between all the active areas that are often hit by earthquakes; Hence, It is located in an active seismic region. Recently, researches have shown that Lebanon falls between two major seismic zones (Zone 2g & 3g). This project is about a seismic design of an Office building in Tripoli-Lebanon. This report contains all the required elements of a seismic design for a reinforced concrete office building. The design of the structure is carried out according to the standards of the ACI318M-11, UBC97 & ACI352R-02. This project includes the seismic design of all the following structural elements of the building: - Frames (Columns and Beams) - Joint Reinforcement - Slabs (Ribbed & Solid) - Shear walls - Mat foundation Architectural Plans, Structural Plans, cross sections and drawings are included to aid in the explanation and to show the location of the designed members. Computer Aided Design Software used: ETABS15, SAFE, and AutoCAD 2015.en_US
