dc.description.abstract | This study is intended to demonstrate that the application of the Socio-Economic Approach to Management (SEAM) reforms and improves the quality of the non-artistic services of Chateau Trianon Theater – Lebanon. The steady growth of the business on the artistic level urged a parallel upgrading of the nonartistic services to guarantee sustainable growth through retaining current audience and appealing to prospective ones. Knowing the uniqueness and the multiple uncertainties of the performing arts business, the approach chosen had to be rigorous, participatory, holistic and multi-disciplinary; hence, the SEAM was chosen to identify dysfunctions, reduce hidden costs, reveal untapped human potential, and establish orchestration between all categories of functions and actors (performers, technicians and admins). The intervention research approach adopted is a transformative approach that enables to achieve a deliberate change in organizations and contributes to the creation of scientific knowledge from the direct observation of the field. Through the Synchronization of the three axes of SEAM (the three key forces of change), the intervener will be able to reach her objectives and implement change before the end of her doctoral studies. The researchers observations, gleaned from 14 years of experience at every level of the business (from box-office assistant to strategic management) will provide a starting point for Orchestration between the artistic and managerial aspects of the performing arts business, Organizational Agility and Optimized Social Impact. | en_US |
