dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this dissertation is to improve the governance of small family business through performing Strategic Human Resource Management in this dynamic change. This performance was supported by the use of socio economic approach to management which has a high point of efficiency. In the course of SEAM intervention research, the hidden cost and poor performance are determined. Consequently, a family business, in North Lebanon, is chosen as an intervention research to describe, evaluate and investigate Strategic Human Resource Management in organization. Interviews done with all the actors and review of internal documentation are the source of information describing the practices and role of the Human Resources management in small family business. The results represent that performing formal HR practices, which is a main feature for strategic human resource management, improves the governance of small family business as well as facilitates for aligning strategic human resource management with organizational strategic plan.en_US
