dc.description.abstract | In today's era, Information technology plays a critical role in the healthcare industry. Healthcare IT, if efficiently managed, can reduce expenses; enhance hospitals processes, increase patient satisfaction and patient care. From this perspective, the need to improve the management of Information Systems becomes a significant governance and fundamental concern in hospitals. Our study is based on the SocioEconomic Approach to Management (SEAM), an intervention research methodology conducted in a private hospital in Lebanon. The intervention research approach we adopt is a transformative approach to introducing change in the organization. Likewise, our aim is to give a suitable solution to enhance the management of information systems. As technical systems are turning out to be more complex and progressively essential to healthcare organizations, there is a rising awareness to keep up a sustainable IT environment as a response to continuous and quick changes in innovation, medical and biomedical technologies. The use of SEAM methodology will facilitate the critical discovery of dysfunctions in the IT domain, apprehend hidden potentials and costs and bring new typology into future work on the determinants of an efficient IT management in hospitals. | en_US |
