The purpose of this study is to materialize the theories and speculations tied to solar energy generation, and in-depth analysis has been conducted on the subject. The results were the following; there are two ways to generate power using solar energy. The first way is using Photovoltaic cells or PV cells which absorb sun rays to generate electric current. The other way is to concentrate solar rays on a fluid and heat it to turn a steam turbine and generate power. The results came as follows; power generation using solar energy reduce the usage of conventional power by up to 70% annually and a solar energy system will repay its cost after 9 to 21 years, depending on the scenario of usage. As to steam turbine systems, they kick in when the PV cells are no longer applicable; i.e. in urban or suburban areas where scarcity of sunlight and lack of open areas, are a substantial obstacle.en_US
