dc.description.abstract | In the past few years the engineering services design for buildings has grown significantly in quantity and difficulty. This report contains the mechanical service of a building in Zahle. In our days a good electromechanical service inside a building is needed to insure that people live in comfort. You can find in this project the design of a plumbing system. Pipes for hot and cold water, drainage system, tanks, pumps and all other plumbing devices are designed using formulas and theories in standard plumbing course. Also a design of HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) system is developed in this project based on the principles and formulas taken in: fluid mechanics, heat transfer and Refrigeration courses and using ASHRAE standard. HVAC is important in the design in such building to get healthy conditions by regulating temperature and humidity, and using fresh air from outdoors. In addition to that this report includes a detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to explain all of the quantities of materials needed in our project and the total cost. This project doesnt contain only calculations and theory parts. Realistic AutoCAD drawings for all systems (plumbing and HVAC) are presented on a soft copy attached in the end of this report and waiting for a implementation. | en_US |
