dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this project is to investigate various transportation options that can be implemented at Kroum Ehden Resort. The main reason for this investigation is protecting the environment. A comparison was held between a gas-powered and an electrically-powered vehicle from environmental, practical, safety and economical points of view. After the gas engine was decided upon, a study was then carried out on the different fuels that could be used for the ICE. A detailed thermodynamic cycle analysis was conducted for each fuel for comparison. Parameters such as brake power and specific fuel consumption were calculated for wide open throttle conditions. Using the GIS software, various points were plotted on the resort track and their corresponding slopes were calculated. The overall fuel consumption of the vehicle for both fuels was then calculated for the resort track. Implementation of the engine on the van fell through due to loss of interest from the resort owners. | en_US |
