dc.description.abstract | The project aims to design a fire fighting aircraft baptized "GREENFF" to be used over the Lebanese territories and mountains for a more effective way of delivering water to the forest fires. The concept is a fixed wing aircraft with twin turbo-prop engines that will be able to refill and take off from land and sea. This report starts with a brief introduction to present the concept, and allows the reader to get acquainted with the subject. It then gives an overview of fire problems and requirements, and how it evolved. The report focuses on the aircraft design; it discusses its conceptual stage, and explains the sizing of aircraft main parts, going through the wing structure and cost estimation of the project. | en_US |
