With the increase in worlds population, the consumption of energy also increased. Hence, it created the need to search for eco-friendly sources of energy to keep both, nature and human beings in harmony. In such circumstances, wind energy is one of the most deployed sources and the wind power industry is in constant development. Therefore, its only natural to keep looking for improvements so that we can extract the maximum energy. In this report, a study about the wear and friction of the wind turbines gearbox will be elaborated using the finite elements method by comparing two types of material used in gear construction in different situation to get some solutions for how to increase its efficiency.en_US
