dc.description.abstract | The project revolves around the design and model of an adequate building mechanical system in a residential villa located in Batroun, Lebanon. The design is composed of three parts: Plumbing, Heating, and Air-conditioning. The plumbing design deals with the supply of cold and hot water while simultaneously dealing with the discharge of storm and drain water, besides the proper venting of the drainage lines. The heating design deals with the calculation of heating loads across the whole building in order to obtain adequate temperature distribution within the whole villa. The Air-conditioning design is similar to the heating design, but with opposing basis as cooling load is calculated for ultimately reaching and sustaining comfort zone within the villa. The design of the HVAC (heating ventilation and air-conditioning) systems shall compile with the ASHARE (American society of heating ventilation and air-conditioning), while that of the plumbing system shall meet the international plumbing code standards. | en_US |
