Abstract:
As mechanical engineers, the drone society is not a hobby, it is a profession. All the hobbyists in the country care about the product, the drone that is supposed to fly and achieve its prescribed job. When optimized, the full study of the quadcopter is based on different domains: structural analysis, aerodynamics, control and manufacturing. So it is our job as mechanical engineers, to propose a design, study it according to the stated domains and manufacture it and test it. This is the focus of the project. The first part focuses on the overview of the drones and quadcopters precisely, then a jump backward to the history of flight, then to the one of Unmanned Air Vehicles, the fixed wings and the rotary wings, and finally the list of equipment upon which the design was done. The following chapters included a detailed study on each of the domains mentioned above and finally a conclusion summing up the whole work with some suggestions for future projects.
