This project is prepared to scrutinize the job satisfaction in the universities of North Lebanon. Its main concern was to observe the relationship between job satisfaction and the different factors assumed to affect the overall satisfaction level, such as the demographic factors. The respondents for this research included full-time staff and faculty members. An amended questionnaire based on the 1977 Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) was distributed to collect the required data from academic members working in six different universities located in different regions of North Lebanon. 200 participants completed the questionnaire and entered into analysis. The results showed that more than half of the respondents are satisfied in their jobs, and there was no significant difference between staff and professors in evaluating satisfaction although rank affects positively the degree of employees satisfaction. Participants involved in this study showed a less satisfaction level with their compensation package, criteria for promotion and organizational goals. This study permitted the analysis and discussion of several factors including, age, gender, work-life spillovers and many others as a recommendation purpose for future research.en_US
