Abstract:
Dress code on employees can have a major impact on their productivity, and this thesis addresses this issue in the Lebanese banks. There are three main questions that will be address. What are the effects dress codes have on employee motivation and productivity? How do employees interact to having guidelines enforced on their clothes? What image does the dress code regulation portray about the bank? The methodology chosen was a quantitative descriptive design technique. The population involved was 120 non-managerial banking employees with no distinction to gender. They were selected by stratified sampling. The data was gathered via a questionnaire submitted to the sample population. Analysis of data included frequency distribution, percentiles, means, and regression analysis. Representation was done in a tabulated form. The results indicated that there is a connection between the dress code and the productivity of the employees in Lebanese banks.
