This project presents the overall design of home automation system with low cost and human machine interface (HMI) controller. The WPL soft2.42 software are used for a system to monitor and control the On/Off status of the electrical devices, measuring the ambient temperature for controlling the air condition, measuring the volume of gas cylinder for launch an alarm, dimmer LED, and producing sevens colors by do different combination between red, green, and blue. This project is made to help and provide support in order to achieve all the needs of disabled and elderly people in home. In this modern world accurate and reliable operation of relay based industrial automation is not practically possible, hence switching to PLC based automation is one of the better solutions which the process simple and more reliable. In this project programming is simple when compared to the other control systems and trouble shooting is also easy, since we have used PLC. All the electrical devices, measuring the volume of gas cylinder, and measuring the ambient temperature will be controlled through PLC and HMI.en_US
