dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this project is to identify the weak bus and sensitive lines forming the weakest area in a power system. Maximum load-ability technique is used to identify the weakest bus in the grid. Voltage Stability Analysis (VSA) technique using Fast Voltage Stability Index (FVSI) is applied to identify sensitive lines in the system. The same line stability index FVSI is used to locate the weakest cluster of the system. This study is conducted on IEEE 14bus system using MATLAB software. This project will help power engineers to understand, in a better way, the problem of voltage instability allowing them to take necessary precautions and close monitoring of this weak cluster area. | en_US |
