Nowadays, remote monitoring and control in every field are becoming necessary. In this project we will see how our system enables the Electricity Department to read our meter readings without the person visiting our house. The consumed energy can be calculated mathematically, displayed, data can be stored and data can be transmitted. Now, microcontrollers are playing important role in metering instrument technology. The proposed system reads automatically the energy consumed and sends it directly to the service provider using the existing short messaging (SMS). The system uses a GSM modem for this purpose. Also, it can provide the facility to disconnect the supply of a customer in case of any payment related issue. The user interface also consists of LCD that displays the amount of power consumed. The advantages of the proposed system make the existing system inefficient. There is ability to connect to remote areas as it employs wireless technology. To enhance our project, we add to it a multi-analyzer system that allows user to know exactly how the load differs between the three phases and if any problem happens, we can directly know what we have to do. The new system is user friendly, easy to access and more efficient than the used system.en_US
