Abstract:
Transportation throughout the UOB campus has been the subject of many debates since many years. Few aimed to decrease the cost while others planned to promote the process to a higher level. This project aims to develop a car that is environment-friendly and more economical, working on electricity and most of all, not a race car like any other university electric car project but on climbing a sharp hill present at the university campus. To implement this aim, the design was based on a number of studies held on the UOB campus for the geographical and environmental benefits. In recent years, electric cars were either empowered by solar systems and intended for race or used plug-in empowering systems for market use. However, the design presented in this task combines electric car for hill climbing that depends on solar plug-in systems. A design and an implementation of an electric vehicle powered by a solar system for the University of Balamand are presented hereafter.
