dc.description.abstractThis report will show in details the design and steel reinforcement of 19 single box culverts varying in length, width, and thicknesess. This design can be used as a quick manual for designing single box culverts used in roadway and highway engineering. The concrete and design work will be done according to American Concrete Institute Standards (2005 Edition). The model is drawn using STAAD PRO.2004 where all properties were defined carefully for getting the maximum accuracy moments values. The results read are then fulfilled in special excel sheets produced by the authors for determining the correct steel reinforcement for every single box culvert. Different cross sections, top view, and front view were produced using AutoCAD 2010 showing the results established throughout the whole design. They clarify the procedure done.en_US
