dc.description.abstract | This report contains the design of a residential building, with components from different resources. Previous notes given by professors were a great deal of help, along with the books they advised to be bought. All our design was based on ETABS. Slabs were designed as one-way ribbed slabs, being one-end continuous, both-end continuous and cantilevers. Simply supported slabs were avoided to its inconvenience. Columns were also designed using Etabs. Two shear walls were designed using ETABS also. For the foundations we were asked to use SAFE to design our mat foundation. The report contains the design of all the above along with their shop drawings. Before any chapter there are drawings of plans, to facilitate the situation being dealt with, and at the end of each there are drawings to aid the explanations and calculations made before. The design was carried out according to the standards of 2005 ACI code. | en_US |
