dc.description.abstract | This report includes the full structural design of a seven story reinforced concrete residential building. The design is done for gravity loading. The seismic loading was taken by adequate shear walls. Ribs and beams were analyzed using SAP 2000 and Etabs which are two softwares produced by Computers & Structures Inc (CSI) for structural analysis and design. Usually the SAP2000 is used for general structures, the Etabs for building structures and the Safe for slabs and mat foundations. The report also covers the design of a mat foundation using Safe, basement wall and the stair case. The design of the structure is carried out according to the ACI 318-2008, UBC,... The design is illustrated by providing adequate plans and cross sections. | en_US |
