dc.description.abstractThis project consists of designing a six-story residential building. Its location is in Sahel-Alma and it is under construction now. According to Lebanese specification, for a land area of 1300 square meter, the maximum height is 35 meter and a total area of construction equal to 3011 square meters. According to these data, this building has four plan views, from basement four to basement two and from basement one to ninth floor for block A, B and C. From basement four to basement two and from basement one to ninth floor for block D. This project also has many shear walls to resist lateral loads as shown in the model of the whole building using (E-TABS) software. The analysis of the structure such as beams, ribs and stair is analyzed using (Robot) software and verification by manual calculation using excel spread sheets. The columns and shear walls are analyzed using (Sconcrete) software. The mat foundation was is analyzed using (SAFE) software. All slabs are designed as one way ribbed slab. The design of the structure is carried out according to the standards of the ACI 2005 code. Plans, cross sections, elevation and drawings are included to aid in the explanation and to show the location of the designed members.en_US
