The purpose of this research is to give an alert for all Lebanese in case an earthquake strikes Lebanon. The movements of the faults are increasing day after day, based on seismologists research and on previous earthquakes data. Therefore, citizens of Lebanon must consider all the plans and recommendations presented in this report to prevent deaths and home losses. This report starts with a brief introduction about the scientifically earthquake definition that explains the importance of this natural disaster. It then gives an overview of past earthquakes in Lebanon and the probability of the occurrence of future earthquakes. It presents a simple emergency and recovery plan for the community and the University of Balamand. MAEviz integrates spatial information, data, and visual information to perform risk assessment and analysis.. It gives recommendations for designers to build structures that resist ground motion. A case study is developed for building structures in the Koura (rural area) and Zahrieh (congested street in Tripoli) regions. Different scenarios were analyzed for the expected damages and losses due to the destruction of buildings in the earthquakes.en_US
