Issue Date: 2013
Abstract:
This project aims to analyze and design a steel structure which serves as a factory located in Nigeria-West Africa. In order to complete our project we used a software called "Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010" which adopts finite elements analysis. The design is performed according to ANSI/AISC 360-05 and American National Standards. The steel sections used in the design of beams, columns, and bracings are W shaped sections grade-A36. The loads considered are wind load, live load, and dead load. The foundations and slab on-grade are designed according to ACI 318 -08.
