Abstract: 
This project is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Civil Engineering as per norms the University of Balamand. The purpose of this project paper is to provide a design of a nine stories residential building reinforced against earthquakes and to show all the steel detailing needed for beams, columns, slabs, shear walls and mat foundation. Using engineering software like AutoCAD, ETABS, Safe and. S-concrete we had the opportunity to model, design, analyze and draw our building and to provide the needed cross sections for the structural members and elements.
