External wall cladding

Abstract

This project is about external cladding in Lebanon. First, an overview about the types of cladding is given, then in the second part, the prices of the stones and of installation are shown. The third part is about testing of the stones: natural stones and industrial stones were subjected to some tests at the laboratory and then in the final part, two decision models were established to draw some conclusions about the better stone given quality, price, and aesthetics. In the conclusion, sustainability was brought to stress on the importance of protecting the environment with less destructive alternatives like industrial stone.
