This project focuses on the full design of a one way ribbed slab, one way solid slab, gravity load resisting frames, shear walls and foundations. The dead, live and earthquake loads, axial loads, moments and shears were calculated for the whole structure. The columns sizes were based on iterations done on Etabs to optimize the design. They were designed to resist vertical and earthquake loads. Steel distribution was also shown for construction purpose. Slabs thicknesses were calculated using the ACI tables and recommendations. Most of the design was done on Etabs and Safe due to the complexity of the loads and of the structural system. Mat foundation area was calculated to verify the load combinations specified by UBC 97 and the thickness was assumed and verified for punching shear and reasonable steel reinforcement Calculations are shown in details for all the design sections. Also figures are shown in details for the purpose of revealing the placing of steel for beams, positive and negative steel, columns, ribs, solid slabs, foundations and stairs to facilitate the work of the contractor in the future. The sections were also evaluated for their effectiveness and they were checked for their adequacy.en_US
