dc.description.abstractThis paper has been written in order to describe a masters project done by students aiming to have a masters degree in civil engineering at the University Of Balamand. This article proposes a new type of concrete mixture; it is the rubber concrete or the rubcrete. It forms by switching amounts of fine aggregates by the recycled rubber. This research carried out to assess the importance of ground rubber in replacing sand. Many percentages of rubber content were used to replace sand. Several tests were applied on the specimens in order to evaluate many parameters such as the compressive strength, the modulus of rupture, etc… The objective of this study is to analyze the results of testing this kind of concrete, thus see if it is usable or can replace the normal concrete to form a lighter material and better properties. Moreover, the rubcrete may help by reducing the problem of disposing rubber in the nature.en_US
