This project has several functions; first of all the main target is to design a building from scratch using all of the knowledge we acquired in university and to implement some structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, AUTOCAD; in addition this project will be earthquake resistant therefore calculating all of the lateral loads and applying EUROCODE and UBC load combinations in etabs; furthermore, a partial Bill Of Quantity will be prepared that will give a quick estimate about the price of the building; and finally, we will implement all the LEED specifications into designing our building in order to keep it environmental friendly. The design of the building is done using EUROCODE 8, ACI-318M-05, UBC97 and ASCE-07. We will be using the EUROCODE and the UBC97 codes in order to apply the lateral load combinations to the building; the ACI-318M-05 is used for the all Reinforced Concrete sections such as slabs, beams, and columns… and finally the ASCE-07 code helps defining the several loads in different ways. AUTOCAD software from ADOBE has been employed to visualize the project and to place the columns whereas ETABS has been used in computing all structural elements and designing the sections and finally SAFE is used to visualize the soil reaction and to design the foundations of the building. This report is clear and neat; all computations, software results and formulas are there to help the reader comprehend.en_US
