dc.description.abstract | The project is composed of 14 story residential building. It includes one way solid slab, two way solid slab, ribbed slab, ordinary moment resisting frames (OMRF), Mat foundation, shear walls and dynamics analysis. The Project has several goals; the first goal of this project is the modeling of the structure by using computer software: SAFE and ETABS. ETABS 2015 is used to design ordinary moment resisting frame (OMRF), shear walls and dynamics analysis results. SAFE 2014 is used to finish the design of mat foundation. The second aim of this project is to define all the different parameters such as gravity load and lateral load of the building structure and to estimate the load combinations in order to have a more resilient building that can resist earthquake. The last aim is to achieve real values in terms of steel and area for each member according to our way in design. The project refers to international standard to satisfy all requirements, which are ACI-318-14, UBC97 and ASCE07. The ACI-code is used to control all the design of concrete elements.UBC-97 code is used to give the skyscraper a good study against seismic activities which consist of standards and regulations. ASCE-07 aims to give different loads in each position. All steps are shown in a clearly ways that help any reader from several backgrounds to be able to understand all design technique. | en_US |
