dc.description.abstractIn this project the aim was to design a 3-Story residential building while maintaining the bases of a sound engineering design leading to a feasible, economical and most importantly safe building. The project started with AutoCAD architectural drawings provided by the architect, these drawings were revised and slightly altered to produce a more practical framing plan keeping in mind what the architect intended. The framing plan was then used as a background in Autodesk Robot to create a model where the internal forces came to be determined, which were, in turn, used as inputs in excel sheets to calculate the required reinforcement. The design was based on the ACI 318-11m code and this report will contain the output for the design of the columns, slabs, footings and beams of the structure.en_US
