Penser à partir d'un modèle français : le Liban ou l'impossible «révolution française»

Abstract

L'intellectuel face à l'Histoire et à l'Etat. Telle est la problématique de cet article. Pourquoi Le Liban, qui entretient avec la France des relations remontant à très loin, n'a pas pu connaître, à l'instar de la France, sa propre « révolution française » et mettre en place son Etat moderne ? Régime ottoman, émirat duo Mont-Liban, mode de production asiatique, confessionnalisme, arabité, libanité, etc., des notions qui sont censées, au risque d'une analyse qui se veut « objective », mettre au clair la problématique libanaise.
