Biography
"I am a researcher in the field of immunology, particularly focusing on the interactions of immune cells in cancer. I earned my PhD in immunology from Paris-Descartes University, where I completed my thesis on dendritic cell biology at Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris in 2014. Following this, I pursued two postdoctoral fellowships at the Cordeliers Research Center and the Curie Institute (between 2015 and 2021), investigating the roles of diverse immune cell populations and various immunotherapeutic strategies in non-small cell lung cancer.
My research has significantly advanced our understanding of how different immune populations interact within the tumor microenvironment and how these interactions affect cancer prognosis and treatment outcomes. My aim is to elucidate the complex relationships between immune cells in this environment, with a particular focus on the essential roles of tertiary lymphoid structures (TLS), antigen presentation, and various T-cell populations.
To date, I have published 15 articles that have collectively been cited over 1,000 times in the scientific literature. I have collaborated with several laboratories in France and Germany to deepen our collective understanding of cancer immunology.
Since September 2023, I serve as an Assistant Professor in Biology, Biochemistry, and Immunology at The University of Balamand in Lebanon, where I continue to explore innovative strategies for harnessing the immune system against cancer."
