Ghattas AKKAD is currently an assistant professor at the University of Balamand, Computer Engineering department working in the areas of embedded systems and machine learning and a research fellow at ENSTA Bretagne, Brest, France. Previously he was an assistant professor at ISEN Yncrea Ouest, L@bISEN, VISION-AD, Carquefou, France. He received his PhD in Electronics and Electrical engineering from ENSTA Bretagne, Brest, France under the supervision of Professor Ali MANSOUR in 2020. His main work focused on developing and implementing a reduced complexity high speed high accuracy adaptive beamforming algorithm. He later worked as a research engineer at ENSTA Bretagne in the biomedical field. Additionally, he holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Balamand, Lebanon, obtained in 2012 and 2014, respectively as well as a Certified LabVIEW Developer title. He has published under IEEE, Springer, EUSIPCO and different international conferences. His research interests are embedded systems, machine learning and signal processing.
