Biography
Gabi Nehme is an associate professor in the mechanical engineering department at University of Balamand. He has 13 years industrial experience in the oil and lighting industry in the USA. He moved to Lebanon in 2004 where he worked in several universities before settling in the Koura district to commit fully to University of Balamand.

Gabi is particularly interested in investigative methods that encompasses both the experimental and the statistical theoretical approaches in the field of Manufacturing and Material Engineering related to wear and friction. Gabi acquired extensive industrial experience in preventing wear in high-pressure applications and increasing the efficiency of product cycles. He has many publications in the area of friction, wear, biomechanics, and attended many high-quality conferences that can be accessed from Google Scholar, Scopus, and Research gate.

Gabi has progressed from being a freshman Student (1986) at the University of Texas to graduating in 1989; then working at Genlyte Group Inc (a major company that manufacture lighting fixture for large industrial projects), followed by working at a research firm that investigate friction and wear under different lubrication regime, where he was doing his PHD in the field of material engineering.
