Biography
Zeina Nasr's passion is to understand the molecular aspect of tumor initiation and progression Her research focuses on studying the effect of translation initiation dysregulation on cancer behavior She had worked with several cell lines and transgenic mouse models and deciphered important pathways that contribute to cancer initiation and progression to metastasis She built her experience by conducting research and teaching in academic institutions She is currently mainly interested in understanding the extraribosomal functions of ribosomal proteins and their effects on tumorigenesis ; On another level, she is currently the head of division of Biology and Environmental Sciences, contributing to the progress of the division on the administrative, academic and research levels She is interested in the development of new teaching methods to involved students in active learning and critical thinking in the science discipline
