Biography
Mr. Alameddine received his BSc in Electrical Engineering (1977) and his MSc engineering systems (1981) both from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Lafayette, LA, USA. He then taught at the university until his return to Lebanon in 1988.

Upon returning to Lebanon Mr. Alameddine founded his electrical engineering design office in Mina Tripoli and was a part-time instructor at the Notre Dame University. His engagement in major development projects in Tripoli and the region enabled him to bring real-world experience into the classroom.

In 1998, Mr. Alameddine joined the University of Balamand as a lecturer at the Department of Computer Engineering. He tought several courses related to digital logic design, electrical installations, logic controllers, and many others. Mr. Alameddine also served the university in a number of capacities throughout the years.

As an experiences engineer and educator, Mr. Alameddine emphasizes the student experience as an integral part of the engineering education that builds character and mindset. Therefore, he makes time to play a role in advising and mentoring students. He also was the founding advisor to the UOB - IEEE student Branch. He currently advises the UOB - IEEE Student Branch Women in Engineering Group.
